March 5, 2002: The Furry Weather Report

In this household, we don't need to go outside to check the weather. We just wait for one of the cats to come in.

And so on. Subtleties can be deduced such as how warm or cold it is outside; Merlin, in particular, a Maine Coone by his looks, can come gusting in with his fur positively frosty. Then we know it is darn cold out there.

Current weather report: Several cats have come in with quite wet fur. Two brought in an earthworm. Must be raining.

March 6, 2002: The Furry Weather Report, Take 2

It's still raining, though I know that because I had to go out in it, not because any cats came in wet. For some reason, they like to stay in during rainy days (all except Marigold, who walks to the beat of a different drummer), laying about on couch or bed in cozy, relaxed comfort.

Some of my friends and family were having trouble accessing these pages. See the note above (at the very top of the page) for a workaround. Though if you are reading this, of course you don't need it.

Talking with cats and other beings

As a psychic, I have been remarkably backward in extending my talents to communication with other species and things. Though I knew it was theoretically possible, I rather ignored the kinds of communications I received, though I was ready enough to talk to other spirits.

But eventually I started to open myself to communication with animals and other living things, including redwood trees, stones, and the beings in the earth itself.

For example, one time, when I was lying in bed ill, I had a cat come in to my room and meow at me. My husband at the time was standing there and witnessed the whole thing. I knew what the cat wanted. I had moved her food dish, and she was wondering where it was. I gave her a detailed description of how to get to its new location (picturing the route in my mind as I did so), and lay back. My husband, bemused, watched as the cat navigated several turns. He followed her at a discreet distance, and thus witnessed her walking unerringly to the new location for the food dish. He was amazed and a trifle unbelieving; I was smug.

I could tell many more stories, but the gist of it is this: To communicate with anything, you first need to believe that the communication is possible. Then you need to be open to whatever form the communication comes through to you in. It isn't necessarily as words, for example, though I sometimes get that. And in the process of being open to the communication, you might need to set aside some filters and agendas.

One of the best all-time books on communicating with animals is Kinship With All Life, by J. Allen Boone. More than any other work, this book captures the essence of what is needed to communicate with animals; to whit, an open mind, a sense of honor, respect for other life forms, no matter what their outer shape, and a certain humility that leaves you open to learning new things. I highly recommend it. (And if you purchase it through this link, you are helping to support this Web site!)

March 7, 2002: Ascension Information (Why the Fifth Dimension?)

I have been getting information from my friends-in-spirit (mostly Jesus, God, and Metatron) about an upcoming world shift for a number of years now. Many others on the planet are getting the same or similar kinds of messages. Some call it the ascension, some say we are moving into the fourth dimension, some even call it Armageddon.

Although I am probably every bit as wrong (or right) as anyone else, I call it a shift into the fifth dimension. Why, you ask? Bear with me while I run through a tiny bit of dimensional theory.

A point has no dimensions. It has neither up nor down, right or left, width or length. This is a theoretical point, of course, because if we create it in our current world, it has at least two dimensions.)

Now, if you add another point and draw a line between the two, you have a single dimension—length. Along that line there are an infinite number of points, but there is only one line. For the sake of this discussion, let's call this line a dimensional marker—the marker of the first dimension. If your consciousness had been within a point, and you now lived in a line, you would relate to that point in an entirely different way. Instead of being within the point, you are outside it, experiencing both it and an infinite number of other points as well.

Take that line and cross it with another. Now you have a flat, two-dimensional plane. It has length and width, but no height. A plane has an infinite number of lines and points in it. The plane is the marker of the second dimension. Again, if your consciousness had been within that line, it would now be outside that line, existing in the plane and relating to the lines as a part of its environment, not as the sum total of it.

To get into the third dimension, you must add height. This is generally illustrated with a cube. Within three dimensions, you find an infinite number of points, lines, and planes. The cube is the marker of the third dimension. Not to belabor the point, but your consciousness, now expanding into this dimension, would relate to the previous dimensions in a new way.

Note that each step up into the next dimension does not take away anything. Instead, it enriches our relationship with the previous dimension, while making that previous dimension a part of our world instead of the sum total of our world.

Though some people say we live within the third dimension, I believe we live within the fourth dimension, which is the first three dimensions plus Time. Time, then, contains within it an infinite number of the first three types of dimensional markers (plus those lonely points).

If we do live in the fourth dimension, and if it is possible that there are more dimensions and that we could in theory access those dimensions somehow, then the next dimension "up," so to speak, would of course be the fifth dimension. The fifth dimension would contain within it an infinite number of the previous dimensional markers. I don't find it a coincidence that many Native American cultures have stories of earlier worlds out of which humanity crawled, emerging into the next; many say we are in the fourth world now and will some day (soon, perhaps) emerge into the fifth world. That sounds like a pretty accurate description of what it might feel like to emerge from one dimension into a wider one that contains the previous one.

Sometimes, when I am giving a personal reading, I have sometimes had the opportunity to converse with the dearly departed. It is always an interesting experience, and I learn something new each time. Over the course of this Web log, I hope to reveal a lot of what I have learned about The Other Side. And here's a start: Many of the people who have died in recent years (died from our perspective) have already gone on into the fifth dimension, or the next world up, or whatever.

And here's another interesting thing: That next world up looks a lot like ours, except bigger. More infinite, you might say, with an infinite variety of places. The Robin Williams movie called What Dreams May Come was pretty much on the mark in a lot of ways. So was Philip Jose Farmer's Riverworld series (of which the first book is the award-winning To Your Scattered Bodies Go).

Of course, it doesn't really matter what we call the next dimension. Whether we call it the fifth dimension or the fourth, the essential idea is that there is another dimension, and we are heading for it.

Keep your eye on this space, as I will be talking more about this whole dimensional theory and how it matters to you in future posts.

March 17, 2002: Corporations: A Positive View

There are a lot of people who seem to get off on spreading fear about upcoming world shifts and changes. When I read some of their channeled materials, I detect a whiff of fear-mongering and even a certain sense of satisfaction that "certain people" are "going to get it" when God and the heavenly hosts descend and clean up. (God and those hosts being in various forms, from the traditional to extraterrestrial sources.)

I don't buy it. I don't buy that anyone, no matter how badly they have behaved, is going to get punished or have the living daylights scared out of them. That would not be the act of a loving God/dess (Creators), and I believe that God is loving.

Instead, I believe that the ongoing earth changes will be, are being, done at just the right pace for all of us. Anyway, the world is already being split into an infinite number of versions of itself as it (and all of us along with it) moves into the fifth dimension. As the splitting happens, there is a sorting process that takes place, as beings who are of similar minds and hearts are collected more closely and beings who are of dissimilar minds and hearts are pulled apart—again, in a loving way. Some of the people you think are in your lives are holographic projections of themselves at this point, placed there to help you continue on your path until you are ready to acknowledge that they were not right for you.

I can sometimes see evidence of these holographic projections in photographs. People who are not really there look odd in some way, like cardboard cutouts of themselves. If you have had an odd feeling about some of the people in your life (not bad, just odd, like perhaps they weren't really there), you could be sensing their lack of real presence.

Meanwhile, if you look around you, you will see evidence of vast changes taking place. You just need to be open to it. And not everything that seems bad, is. For example, there are a lot of people who are afraid that corporations have taken over the earth and are going to be our demise—if not the demise of the earth physically, then the demise of our freedoms and individuality.

I admit that I was one of those people afraid of this happening. Until today, when I realized that corporations are made up of people (okay, I already knew that part of the equation), and that those people had to go through the experience of acting like royal flaming selfish self-centered you-know-whats, all takers and "all about me" people, in order to be able to move to the next step in their soul evolution. Now, they didn't have to negotiate this particular aspect of soul evolution in this particular way, but they did. And some will continue to behave this way for a while. But they must understand what they are doing and they must experience the dominance they are experiencing, dominance without regard for others, in order to be able to move into self-mastery with regard for others.

I could say more, and will in a longer essay, but wanted to throw this out for a brief Sunday sermon.

Marina
