Instead of focusing on your fear for and hatred of someone or some group, see what it feels like to focus on loving, compassionate thoughts for them. That person, those people, got there because of their own pain and fear. It won’t help their situation to send more pain and fear their way, and filling yourself with fear, anger, and hatred certainly doesn’t help you.
